Until now, all of our recommendations have been ATX motherboards, which are standard sizes and will work with the majority of parts and cases on the market. The MSI MAG B550M Mortar WiFi is a micro-ATX motherboard, which means it’ll fit into a smaller PC case. The board itself has a fair bit of metal construction and reinforcement, which also makes it suitable for building a more sturdier PC build.

Despite its smaller size, this board is packed with features. It has two PCIe x16 slots, meaning it supports dual-GPU configurations, and it also has two M.2 slots for Gen4 NVMe SSDs. Thanks to its 8+2 power phases VRM design, the board is also suitable for mild CPU overclocking, and its white-themed aluminum heatsinks are in charge of keeping its PCB components cool. The board also comes with an integrated Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5G LAN, and for data transfers there are four USB Type-A ports, and one Type-C port. The biggest drawbacks of this motherboard include awkward BIOS interface, and weirdly placed internal USB header which can make the installation troublesome.

The board features the same stunning design, with white-themed aluminum VRM and chipset heatsinks, as well as M.2 heatsinks, and vibrant RGB lighting. The difference, however, is that this board supports Intel’s Core X-Series CPUs, and as such has different capabilites.

The Prime X299-A II has three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, which is a bit disappointing given the fact that boards supporting the PCIe 5.0 interface are already rolling out. The board also has only two M.2 slots, but each of them has its own aluminum heatsink which is a big plus. Unfortunately, this board also has drawbacks in some other areas. For example, it features old 1 GbE LAN, and it has no Thunderbolt connectors. Overall, this is a decent board for Core X-Series CPUs, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

The Segotep CVN B560I Gaming Frozen V20 is a pretty cool-looking micro-ITX motherboard made by the well-known Chinese manufacturer Segotep. The motherboard features Intel’s B560 chipset, meaning it natively supports 11th and 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs, and thanks to its white painted PCB, and silver gray aluminum heatsinks this board is suited perfectly for building a white-themed PC build.

The CVN B560I Gaming Frozen has one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, and one M.2 slot that supports Gen4 NVMe SSDs. Despite its tiny dimensions, this board also comes with an integrated Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 module which allows you to connect to Internet wirelessly. • High-quality audio controller
  • Powerful VRM solution
  • Vibrant RGB lighting
  • Doesn’t support PCIe 4.0 interface

The Gigabyte Z490 VISION G is a powerful motherboard with a sleek design. It’ll be wonderful for gamers, but because it’s not targeted exclusively to them in terms of looks and performance, it’ll also appeal to a wider audience.

Although this motherboard has a black PCB, the positioning and color of the trim and heatsinks make it appear whiter. However, the more modern appearance comes at the expense of some cooling capabilities, so you may need to buy a more capable aftermarket cooling solution if you want to keep the boards’ VRM and CPU area as cool as possible.

The Gigabyte Z490 VISION G is only compatible with the 10th Gen Intel CPUs. It has three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, as well as two M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs. The board comes equipped with the 12+1 power phases VRM with DrMOS elements, which is great if you like overclocking your CPU. There is also Thunderbolt 3 support, an enhanced Realtek ALC1220-VB audio controller, as well as adjustable RGB lighting. The biggest downsides of this board include lack of support for the PCIe 4.0 interface, as well as premium price. However, if you have the 10th Gen Intel CPU, and want to build a white-themed PC with it, then this is the right board for you.
