ASUS ROG Strix RX 5500 XT 8GB is a top-notch card. It is one of the few Navi 14 cards on the market that can achieve 1865 MHz GPU boost clock speed. This card also features a Dual BIOS capability, as well as 0 dBA fans which can run in silent mode.

This card is also very well-made. The PCB itself is made from premium alloy chokes, solid polymer capacitors, and arrays of high-current power stages. Card also has a very stylish backplate, and a very efficient cooling block. Unfortunately, cooler is extremely big and will occupy 2.9 slots in your PC case.

Another cool thing about this card is that it supports ASUS FanConnect II feature which enables you to link your PC case fans to your GPU, so that you can synchronize fans spinning and increase cooling performance.

Overall, ASUS ROG Strix RX 5500 XT 08G is a great card for 1080P ultra gaming, which offers plenty of features and whose price is very reasonable. It is also a card which doesn’t sacrifice performance due to its superior cooling capabilities.

In that sense, the Sapphire Pulse RX 5500 XT graphics card is no exception, and that is the reason why is this card second on our list. This card is slightly factory overclocked, and features GPU boost clock of up to 1835 MHz. You can buy it in two variants: one with 4GB GDDR6 memory, and one with 8GB. Since we live in 2020, 8GB is the most logical choice.

Although it has no RGB lightning, this card comes with a dual BIOS feature, and it even has a physical switch, so you can easily change your BIOS settings. Card also has a rather simplistic heatsink with 3 heat pipes, and draws power from a 1×8-pin connector. Two 95 mm fans support work in silent mode, and can easily be changed in case they stop spinning.

Pulse RX 5500 XT also comes with a TriXX Software utility which enables you to overclock card even further. However, overclocking capabilities of this card are modest, so don’t expect significant performance boost.

PowerColor RX 5500 XT Red Dragon is another great card on our list. It is also the most powerful variant of RX 5500 XT that PowerColor currently has in offer. This card features two big fans which work in passive mode until card reaches 60 °C. Under full load, both fans spin at around 1370 RPM, and produce noise of about 40 dBA.

Card draws power from one 8-pin connector, and has no RGB lightning. Although this is the most powerful RX 5500 XT that PowerColor offers, it is not factory overclocked. With custom overclocking, card can reach boost clock of up to 1950 MHz, but performance improvement is minor.

Overall PowerColor RX 5500 XT Red Dragon is a very solid Navi 14 graphics card, and is about $10 cheaper than Sapphire NITRO+ RX 5500 XT Special Edition.

Another card from Sapphire Technologies on our list. This one, however, is a bit more feature packed. NITRO+ RX 5500 XT has a factory overclocked base GPU clock of 1685 MHz, and features boost clock of up to 1845 MHz. This Special Edition card also comes with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM by default.

Great thing about this card is that it features “quick connect” fans, so you can easily replace them in case they stop working. Besides that, Dual-X cooler does a great job keeping this card chill and silent, so you don’t have to bother with problems such as noise and potential overheating.

Only caveat with this card is that it’s rather too long. Extending 257 mm in length, this card might not be an ideal choice for small and crampy mini-ITX builds.

If you really like huge, chunky and beefy-looking graphics cards, then XFX Radeon RX 5500XT THICC II Pro is the right choice for you. THICC II Pro is a stylish looking graphics card that features impressively big, yet elegantly designed cooling block. Card comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, GPU game clock of 1717 MHz, and a boost clock of 1845 MHz.

Since it is based on RDNA architecture, this card supports technologies such as FidelityFX, Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Image Sharpening, AMD FreeSync 2 HDR, AMD Eyefinity, and, of course, Microsoft DirectX 12 API and Vulkan API support.

Measuring 281 mm in its length, THICC II Pro is one huge graphics card. It is also quite thick, and will occupy two slots in your PC case. Due to its dimensions, it is probably not an ideal option for smaller case builds.

Main spotlight feature of this card is its Windforce 3X Cooling System which consists of three big fans that spin in alternate directions. Although its cooling solution is a complete overkill for a such card, Gigabyte RX 5500 XT runs very cool and silent, which is perfect for quieter builds.

All together, Gigabyte RX 5500 XT GAMING OC is another solid Navi 14 graphics card, however, its advanced cooling solution doesn’t justify its price tag, which we consider to be too high.
