This shows how Assetto Corsa has not only remained popular, but has also proven to be very much relevant, despite the release of newer racing games like Forza Horizon 5 and Gran Turismo 7.

With more than 22,000 mods available online, it is by far the most customizable racing simulator to date, and probably one of the most moddable games ever made. A high degree of customization and accessibility, stunning graphics, and incredible driving experience all contribute to the fact that Assetto Corsa is still the most versatile and the most unique racing simulator currently available on PC.

When it comes to racing track mods, there is a ton of racing tracks you can download and install for Assetto Corsa. Some are better, and some are worse, which means that finding the best racing track mods can be quite time-consuming. This is why in this guide we’ve prepared for you a list of the best racing track mods for Assetto Corsa. Our list includes only racing tracks, and not sprint tracks, so keep that in mind. We’ve ranked the tracks from the least popular to the most popular, however, all of them are of high-quality and will greatly improve your Assetto Corsa experience.

20. Automotodrom Grobnik

Located on the Croatian coast in the mountains above the city of Rijeka, the Automotodrom Grobnik has had a long tradition of hosting MotoGP races, ever since it was built in 1977. The track runs in an anti-clockwise direction, and has a total distance of 4.17 kilometers (2.59 miles). It features a series of long straights and fast left-right sweeping corners. This makes it very challenging for drive, especially in cars with low downforce.

Overall, this is a very fun track to drive on, and is perfectly suitable even for Formula 3 cars. This mod in particular can boast with a highly detailed track model, which also includes surrounding terrain, 28 pit boxes, fully working AI, 3D grass, skidmarks, uneven surfaces, and 7 cameras. 19. Canadian Tire Motosport Park

The Canadian Tire Motosport Park is a multi-track motorsport venue located in Ontario, Canada. The facility features a 3.95 kilometer (2.46 miles), 10-turn road course which is considered to be a timeless gem by motorsport fans. The track was once host to the Canadian F1 Grand Prix, as well as yearly IMSA, NASCAR Trucks and Pirelli World Challenge events.

This track mod for Assetto Corsa is based on high resolution aerial LiDAR data of the province of Ontario, and is built in accordance with 2019 specifications. The track features laser accurate elevation, cambers and bumpy characteristics. It also has multiple LOD values, VAO and shader patch improvements, and it comes with 37 pit stalls.

18. Tor Poznań

Tor Poznań is a 4.083 km (2.537 mi) motorsport race track located in Ławica area of Poznań in Poland. The track was built in a period between 1975 and 1977, and was a result of the cooperation between Automobilklub Wielkopolski and car factory Polmo. The track was built on the site of a former military training ground, and uses an old runway of Ławica airport.

Despite having no differences in elevation, this is a very fun track to drive on. It features a series of high-speed corners and straights, and it comes with highly detailed kerbs, and surroundings. 17. Motodrom Gelsenkirchen

Created by a modder THL, the Motodrom Gelsenkirchen 1981 is a surprisingly well-made racing track mod for Assetto Corsa, especially when given the fact that it was made from scratch. The track measures 750 meters in length, and has an average lap time of around 30 seconds. It was opened in 1969 as dirt track, and was designed for use by modified street cars, hotrods, and winged sprint cars. The last race was in 1984.

The track features 20 pit boxes, fully working AI, GrassFX, multiple TV cams, lights, RainFX support, 31K physical mesh, seasonal adjustments, VAO patch, and collision boxes for numerous small objects. Despite being small and short, this is an extremely detailed track for Assetto Corsa, and it features highly detailed steel furnaces surrounding the track. 16. Hungaroring

Hungaroring is known as the “Monaco without the walls”, although this is a bit of an overstatement. To be fair, the first series of corners is able to generate some tense and engaging battles, while the rest of the lap is both short enough and variably elevated to sustain interest in race. The Hunagroring is home to Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix, and is well known for its extremely hot and dry conditions which make it particularly challenging to F1 drivers. 15. Fonteny

Fonteny is a 26 kilometer loop of state roads set in the French countryside of the Parc Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan. In terms of driving experience, it is quite similar to Nordschleife, although much more emotional. The track features over 100,000 trees, 1,000 buildings, and 200 vehicles. It was created by a single modder called Fat-Alfie who spent 6 months building it, and has driven more than 20,000 km around the track to make it as perfect as possible. Overall, this is an incredible mod, and if you are in search of an alternative to the Nordschliefe, then this is the right track for you.

14. Barbagallo Raceway

Barbagallo Raceway near Wanneroo is Western Australia’s sole permanent racing track, having been open since 1969. It is most known for its appearance on the V8 Supercar Calendar, and its short and quick layout, along with some great elevation changes, make racing interesting and entertaining.

The track mod features high resolution terrain, skidmarks, detailed surroundings, high-quality 3D kerbs, multiple pit boxes, two separate camsets, optimized collision meshes, and online multiplayer support. The tracks was built from ground up and can be downloaded for free from RaceDepartment.

13. Toscana Autodromo

Toscana Autodromo is a fantasy racing track mod for Assetto Corsa that looks like it came straight from Gran Turismo. This beautiful track features a hairpin, a bankturn, multiple chicanes and a tunnel, all set in a magnificent landscape of Italian Tuscany. The track fully supports RainFX, and comes with four different layouts. The track is suitable for F1 cars, GT3 cars, and even old classic cars. You can be download the track from here.

12. Sachsenring

The Sachsenring is a must-have track for every true Assetto Corsa fan. It is an incredibly well-made track, partly because it took two years to get developed, and partly because it is based on Open LiDAR data and Google Earth photogrammetry. The track features extremely accurate road mesh, and is based on Sachsenring 2020/21 specification. It also features animated track marshals, helicopters, working digital clock, working video screens, and adjustable amount of spectators (via CSP).

The Sachsenring track is fully optimized to run with CSP and SOL, and it fully supports RainFX. The track comes with three different layouts, three event skins, and supports seasons. The track is perfectly suited for GT4 races, as well as for Formula 4 races. It even supports night race mode, even though its real-world counterpart doesn’t.

11. Road America

Although it was designed to serve as a test track, the Road America mod from LilSki quickly became one of the most popular and the most downloaded racing track mods for Assetto Corsa. Featuring custom designed trees, walls and fences, as well as high quality road mesh, RainFX and GrassFX support, custom sounds, and animated workers, it isn’t too surprising that Road America is one of the most popular mods for Assetto Corsa.

Road America has always been one of the main features in all the American racing championships. This Wisconsin track currently hosts NASCAR, Xfinity, and IndyCar Series championships, and has hosted a bunch of other minor and major championships along the many years since it has been built. It is mostly attract with many long straights, peppered here and there with fast kinks, a couple of technical corners, and a carousel. Although it lacks a variety of corners, it is able to bring up a challenge while keeping a fairly high average speed around the circuit.

10. Kyalami

Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit is an iconic motor racing circuit located in Gauteng, South Africa, just north of Johannesburg. The circuit has previously hosted Formula One races, and has hosted South African Grand Prix many times. The track is also widely known for an infamous 1977 South African Grand Prix incident in which race marshal Fredrick Jansen van Vuuren and driver Tom Pryce got killed.

The Kyalami mod for Assetto Corsa features winter and summer layouts, and comes with full support for CSP effects, including RainFX. The track also supports night race mode, and comes with its own ambient sounds, and an animated Ferris wheel. The Kyalami track can also be used for online multiplayer sessions. 9. Watkins Glen International

Although it looks a bit neglected these days, the Watkins Glen International circuit, or simply “The Glen” is still an incredibly fun and fast circuit to drive on. It was long known around the world as the home of the Formula One United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for twenty consecutive years (1961-1980). The circuit has also been home to road racing of nearly every class, and is considered to be a Mecca of North American road racing.

Thanks to this mod, you can now drive around the Glen in Assetto Corsa. The track features 43 pit boxes, dynamic racing groove, dynamic rubbering of kerbs, working AI, TV cameras, time attack support, and shader patch support with custom lights.

8. Donington Park

Nearly all sim racing games feature Donington Park in their circuit roster, except for Assetto Corsa. Fortunately, with this mod from RaceDepartment, you can now add the famous Donington Park to your Assetto Corsa track collection. Located near the castle Donington in Leicestershire, England, the Donington Park circuit has widely been known as home of British round of the MotoGP motorcycling championship. In 1993, the track hosted Formula One race.

The Donington Park mod for Assetto Corsa received multiple updates since it was first released, with the latest one upgrading the track to 2018 specification. The mod includes fully working AI, multiple LOD levels, 3D grass, ambient sounds, 3D kerbs, and high resolution road mesh.

7. Algarve International Circuit

With a total cost of €195 million (approximately $250 million), the Algarve International Circuit, commonly referred to as Portimão, is considered to be one of the most expensive F1 circuits ever built. The complex includes a 4.692 km (2.915 mi) long circuit, a karting track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and numerous apartments. The track’s main selling point is constant elevation change, with wild climbs and drops that makes racing on it particularly exciting.

Featuring 30 pit boxes, functional AI line, high-poly physical mesh, four sets of TV cameras, and HD textures, the Algarve International Circuit mod is a must-have mod for serious fans of Formula One and Assetto Corsa. With additional VAO patch and track skins, the track looks even better, so be sure to check these out before you make your final verdict about this mod.

6. Bahrain International Circuit

The Bahrain International Circuit is known for exciting starts and finishes, although its middle part can leave viewers in a state of confusion. Nevertheless, this is a fun and dynamic track that offers enough technical challenge, and can also deliver a lot of joyful moments. The track supports both Grand Prix and Endurance series races, which makes it perfect for Formula 1 and prototype car races.

The Bahrain International Circuit for Assetto Corsa comes in six different layouts, and it features full support for RainFX, dynamic night lighting, digital track flags, GrassFX, fireworks, and working DRS zones. Compared to other track mods for Assetto Corsa, this one is a bit inaccurate in terms of elevation and layout, however, this isn’t too surprising given the fact that it is still a work in progress.

5. Circuit de la Sarthe

The Circuit de la Sarthe, commonly known as the Circuit des 24 Heures, is a semi-permanent race track in Le Mans, Maine, France, best known as the site of the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race. The route follows local roads that are available to the public for the most of the year. In its current design, the circuit is 13.629 kilometers (8.47 miles) long, making it one of the world’s longest tracks.

This mod for Assetto Corsa adds the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans track to the game. The race supports both day and night settings, comes with an advanced AI track, as well as with 56 pit boxes, high-quality textures, 3D kerbs and grass, and associated shader profile. 4. Hockenheimring

The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg is a legendary motor racing circuit located in the Rhine valley near the town Hockenheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The circuit has hosted many motor racing events since it was built in 1932, and has an FIA Grade 1 license, meaning it can host Formula 1 races. Since its revival in 2000, the Hockenheimring has become one of the most popular tracks for DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) races.

Although there are many Hockenheimring mods for Assetto Corsa, in our opinion the Hockenheimring 2018 track mod is the best. 3. Interlagos

From its use of elevation, to changing camber and natural flow, nearly every part of Interlagos circuit is brilliant. This track provides a challenge for both drivers and engineers, and it creates fantastic wheel-to-wheel racing which makes it one of the best racing tracks ever. 2. Suzuka International Circuit

The Suzuka International Racing Course, more famously known as the Suzuka Circuit, is a 5.807 km (3.608 mi) long motorsport race track located Ino, Mie Prefecture, Japan. The track was first opened for racing in 1962, and has since then seen major layout modifications. The Suzuka race track is known for its great racing flow, and is one of the fastest tracks in F1 racing calendar, with an average speed of 230 km/h (142.7 mph).

Since Suzuka is a very popular and iconic track, there are many different mods that add this track to Assetto Corsa. The Suzuka Circuit 2017 Reboot Project mod is probably one of the best Suzuka mods for Assetto Corsa, since it features 3D scanned physical mesh, highly detailed kerbs, and native support for CSP effects, such as the RainFX and GrassFX. The track also includes an animated Ferris wheel, hot air balloon, and stands with crowd, which is a big plus.

1. Circuit of the Americas (COTA)

Although Circuit of Americas (COTA) isn’t as charming as Spa-Francorchamps or Monza (which are already included in Assetto Corsa), there is still a lot to like about this American racing track. Compared to dull and simplistic oval tracks in Daytona and Indianapolis, COTA is a surprisingly challenging track that is more similar to its European counterparts. From its big elevation changes, to high G force corners, and fast straights, COTA is a very exciting and dynamic circuit, perfectly tailored for GT3 and F1 races.

The COTA mod for Assetto Corsa can boast with day and night racing support, realistic billboards, high resolution textures and physical road mesh, 3D kerbs, and support for RainFX. It is one of the most highly detailed tracks for Assetto Corsa and it is a must-have mod for any Assetto Corsa player.
