It Takes Two is one of the best modern co-op games we’ve seen in ages. The developer Hazelight Studios really set the bar high with their title when it comes to cooperative play, as It Takes Two successfully reinvented the genre, and brought a breath of fresh air to a somewhat stagnant gaming industry.
Besides featuring enjoyable gameplay and interesting story, the best thing about It Takes Two is that you can play this game with your girlfriend or boyfriend, friends, children, family, or relatives. It is a very teamwork-oriented game that throws you into an exciting adventure featuring beautiful environments and memorable soundtrack.
Although there is quite nothing like It Takes Two on the market, there are still some very good games similar to it, which are worth checking out if you’ve fallen in love with the genre, or you are simply looking for something fresh, yet similar. In this list, we’ll show you the best games like It Takes Two that you can play on PC today.
1. A Way Out
The most similar game to It Takes Two is without a doubt A Way Out, which was also made by the same developer Hazelight Studios. Just like It Takes Two, A Way Out is a coop-driven action game in which players take the roles of Leo and Vincent, a pair of criminals, that must work together to escape from prison. Both Leo and Vincent are complex characters with different personalities, and each of them has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Unlike It Takes Two, A Way Out is less family-friendly, and more serious, as it tackles serious themes, and difficult ethical choices. The game features an abundance of movie-like cutscenes and interesting dialogues, and it fully supports local split-screen, as well as online co-op play.

2. Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons
Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons is a beautiful epic fairy tale from well-known Swedish film director, Josef Fares and top-tier developer Starbreeze Studios.
